Continuing with the special mission of J&K Police to eradicate the drug menace from the society, based on specific information, the special team of District Police Kupwara has achieved another success by arresting a notorious drug peddler and recovered 3.5 kilograms of Charas from his possession.
Acting on a specific input, a checkpoint was laid at Surigam Crossing and a drug peddler was arrested and 3.5 kilograms of Charas was recovered from his possession. The arrested person has been identified as Mohd Latief Chohan son of Jalal-u-din Chohan resident of Surigam Lolab.
Case FIR No. 61/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered in PS Sogam and investigation is in progress.
